Independent Films from all over the world will be screened during the
AGFF along with Filmmakers Meet & Greets, Q & A, Parties, Round Table
Discussions, Live Music, an Arts Market. Art Opening/Reception and so
much more.
At last year's AGFF, we had a world premier film and we had folks come
to the AGFF from as far as California.
This year's festival promises to be bigger and better.
Volunteers are needed and here is your chance to get involved.
We will be having a volunteer meeting this tuesday night at the
Johnston County Arts Council conference room, 7pm, 231 East Second St,
Clayton, NC
No experience is necessary!!!

Ava Gardner Film Festival Looking for Volunteers
The Ava Gardner Film Festival is seeking volunteers for its 2nd year.
The festival will be September 24th through September 27th in downtown
Smithfield, NC. There are many positions this year, from ticketing to
technical, pre-screening to outreach.
What Do Volunteers Do?
Volunteers make the Festival happen! There are positions of various
interests, time commitments and levels of responsibility. No matter
what you may choose to do, your first responsibility is to be sure that
everyone feels at home and has a good time!
Pre-Festival
Special Skills ? Let us know if you have special skills in Programming,
Marketing, Festival Operations, Development, Accounting, Art, Video
Production, Office Administration or Technology (internet).
Festival Preparation ? These projects begin two weeks before the
Festival, and include various office projects and organization. Help
stuff tote bags, prepare registration materials, and other various
tasks.
During Festival - Ushers, Venue Supervisors, Projectionist, Ticket
Sales,

Crew Pass - An Ava Gardner Film Festival Crew Pass entitles you acces
to the Opening Night Party and all films and panels on a
space-available basis.
Access to the Filmmakers Lounge - This is where volunteers can rest and
find drinks and light snacks.
