Substation Engineer
Contract Duration: 6 months
Location: Wendell, NC
Required Qualifications:
BS in Electrical Engineering, MSEE is preferred.
Minimum two years experience in the Protection and Control Engineering
field.
Technical knowledge of numerical protection relays and applications.
Experience in relay panel design.
Demonstrated good verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft tools, AutoCAD and other discipline software like
Aspen and/or SKM products.
The candidate will be required to travel to project sites.
In addition the following is prefer:
Knowledge of ANSI standards, IEC standards.
High Voltage, Distribution and Generation applications experience,
working for Utility and Industrial customers.
Knowledge of transmission and distribution, relay and protection;
capable of designing and specifying them; able to approve and supervise
the designs of other engineers.
Professional Engineer license.
$140 Per Diem will be paid seven days a week (980 weekly) if candidate lives outside 50 mile radius of work location.
