Responsibilities will include the management & administration of all email & sms marketing programs. The right candidate will be responsible for driving revenue through these programs by developing concepts, test structures, segmentation as well as deploying, tracking and measuring response for our various brands and offers.
We are looking for a smart, driven, highly analytical, self starter who has strong direct response experience.
Key areas of responsibilities:
• Own and drive revenue and profitability from all email marketing programs
• Own and manage promotional schedule and testing calendar including planning and coordinating with product teams to drive new features and functionality
• Design email campaigns based on customer behavior data and continuously test timing, segments, messaging, creative, offer etc. to optimize email performance
• Develop segmentation plans for various email programs and ensure list accuracy
• Manage different email programs for core customer segments as well as co-brands and partners depending on behavior profiles of the different customer base
• Work closely with writers and with creative teams to design and develop email creative
• Define KPIs for the email performance and continuously measure and track performance including deliverability, revenue, orders, AOV and other email metrics etc.
• Manage email vendor relationship including contracts, data migration and overall service levels for the account. Must be very familiar with email tools and functionality.
Experience Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years experience with email marketing, preferably in a CRM/retention capacity in a B2C environment
• Minimum 2 years experience marketing an online business
• Experience owning and managing programs end-to-end highly desirable
Skills and characteristics:
• Strong email marketer – understands all email response metrics, best practices and has a proven track record of launching successful email campaigns
• Strong analytical skills – must have full understanding of direct response principles, be willing and able to make data-driven decisions and must be able to function in a very ROI driven environment
• Test-and-learn mentality
• Hands-on, results-driven, with a bias towards action and a strong track record of success
• Focused creativity that solves problems and is on-strategy
• Strong project management skills; ability to juggle multiple projects, organize & prioritize
• Strong communications skills, both orally and in writing
• Demonstrated ability to build & maintain cross-functional relationships and work collaboratively in a team environment
• Self-starter, who needs little hand-holding and can get up to speed quickly
• Must have full command of Microsoft office suite of products, particularly excel.
• Candidates with experience and/or aptitude for using analytical tools.
• Candidates with hands on experience with email tools preferred.
