We manage bands and have been responsible for getting dozens of bands signed to record deals of all sizes. We also put out records and sign bands ourselves to our own label and publishing company.
We have an office in Raleigh and a full time staff of 10 people. We will be interviewing potential interns starting November 1st for the Spring 2010 Semester.
We started an intern program in 2001. We have 5 interns each school semester that intern at Deep South's offices in Downtown Raleigh. It's a great way to learn the "real" music business. The music business you can't learn in a book! Many musicians have interned at Deep South over the years and gained vast knowledge to help promote and market their own bands! In fact half of our Full Time employees are actually in bands!
Former interns at Deep South have gone on to full time jobs at local radio stations, TV stations, Sony Music in New York, Warner Brothers in LA, AOL Music, and many other companies!
You don't necessarily need to be in school to be an intern, but interns can, and have received school credit in the past!
