Hey there! We are a soon-to-be 3-piece band from Chapel Hill on the lookout for an energetic drummer in his/her 20's - early 30's (no offense to older rockers -- it just doesn't seem to work out after many trials). The bass player and the guitarist/singer have already been playing together for a while, so we are just looking for a beat-maker to complete the trio. You will find yourself within the context of a band that already has a substantial number of songs, with drum parts that you will need to learn. But it's understood that you're not a robot, and will bring your own eccentricities on board. For material that's in the works, the creative process is largely collaborative (after we've agreed on what each song is trying to communicate). Some of our influences are The Cure, Syd Barrett/Pink Floyd, Joy Division, Depeche Mode, The Doors, Leonard Cohen, Sonic Youth, The Durutti Column, The Velvet Underground, Jimi Hendrix, Nick Drake, David Bowie, Television, Radiohead and My Bloody Valentine.
