We're a local Meetup group looking for some space to rent for a day in or around Raleigh on a periodic basis. Since we don't have deep coffers or a huge number of members, we simply can't afford to rent out one of the county's public indoor facilities, or Hotel/freestanding conference rooms for as long as we need.
An empty house with four or five rooms, a least one functioning bathroom, kitchen and reasonable parking for 7-12 cars would be ideal. We're open to other arrangements also - but we want to be able to separate the spaces and not have to talk over each other. We're looking to rent at the $125 - $200 range, cash in hand.
Our Meetup members are well mannered and not boisterous, and Meetup itself is for people to play roleplaying and boardgames. We want to be able to dress the interior of the house to match the theme of the Meetup - think Halloween party. All decorations are temporary, and the place will be left in the same shape as we found it, maybe a little cleaner :-). We would plan to arrive at 9:00am to decorate, open the Meetup at Noon and play until 11:00pm and be out by midnight. No drinking on the premises or smoking inside will be allowed; we strive for a clean, safe and legal environment for Meetup members.

we're looking at ending the search in mid-November. We presently do have some good candidates, but any space closer to or inside Raleigh and can provide a larger space would get top consideration. Please know that I'm looking for *exactly* what I state in the ad, and isn't an allusion to anything else. :-)
