I want to tell you all about a new business I am starting, that will be servicing the Raleigh/Durham/Cary area. I am very excited about this venture, and hope to see a few of you as my first clients, and that you will recommend your friends and family that have pets of their own!

The business is Raleigh Pet Cab, and will be in full service as of December 1st, 2009. Raleigh Pet Cab will offer a number of services. Here are just a few examples:

1. Simple taxi cab pick up and deliveries of pet supplies. If you need dog food, fish food, cat litter, hay, horse feed, medications, or toys picked up, you can call Pet Cab with your specific order and where you would like the items purchased and dropped off. This service is available to anyone who is a busy pet parent and has a need for items that they just don't have time to shop for or pick up themselves, but I am also hoping to be able to service the disabled and elderly, who may have difficulty getting to the store or loading up the supplies on their own. Raleigh Pet Cab will be offering discounts to the elderly and disabled.

2. Animal pick up and/or drop off. If you have a pet that needs to go to the grooming salon, vet, doggy day camp, boarding facility, or training class, Raleigh Pet Cab will be offering safe and insured transportation in a vehicle decked out for pet comfort. Treats, toys, soothing music, soft bedding, and a ride tailored to the pet parent's exact specifications can be offered to anywhere, anytime as needed.

3. At home canine training. Raleigh Pet Cab offers over ten years of experience in animal husbandry and training. I can help you work on specific issues such as potty training or leash walking, or just come over in the middle of the work day and offer Fido some mental stimulation, games, and fun. Pet parent can be present or simply read over the report card left at the end of a session. Sessions will be tailored to the pet parent's exact needs and interests.

4. Dog walking and pet companionship. If you work long hours, you know how pent up and energetic your dog can be when you first walk in the door at the end of the day. A walk or run in the middle of the day will help your pooch be relaxed and calm, leading to a more enjoyable evening for you and your family. If you watch your Cesar Milan, you know the saying - A fish must swim, a bird must fly, a dog must walk. Walks can range from a trip around the block to a five mile run around a nearby lake or trail. If your best bud would prefer a trip to the nearby dog park, then away we go! Or perhaps you have an older pet that just needs some TLC and doesn't like to be alone. Whatever the need is, Raleigh Pet Cab can meet it.

5. Catering and home made meals for pets. We are what we eat, and the same goes for our pets. Raleigh Pet Cab can supply pupcakes for special events, or simply come over and stock your freezer with a week's worth of home made, holistic, veterinary-approved natural diets. Each diet will be prepared according to your pet's specific needs, and all recipes are approved by a veterinarian for content and nutritional value. Some yummy treats are available as well, because after a long hard day of being petted, walked, and playing with a rope toy, who doesn't need some peanut butter bark biscuits?
