Were looking for a detail-oriented writer to provide content support on www.mycesi.org, the consumer-focused Web site for Consumer Education Services, Inc. The Web Writer reports to the Chief Executive Officer and this contract position will work offsite from home for up to 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities include:
Updating content throughout the site
Writing feature articles, promotional content, education materials, and additional original financial content
Coordinating with visual designers to produce graphics
Creating and maintaining content inventories
Helping to gather requirements for new projects
Transcribing audio and video content for accessibility
Optimizing page content and metadata for search engines
Producing audio content for publication on the Web
Qualified applicants will have a BS in Journalism, Communications or English, and at least 2 years experience as a professional web writer editing content management systems, HTML, a high proficiency in all computer applications and blogging
The Web Writer will meet with the Chief Executive Officer at least once a month at our Raleigh, NC corporate office and evening and weekend hours may be required at times.
