This large Raleigh Pursuit is designed to fit riders between five feet four and 5’10˝ in height.
The mixte top tube stands 23.5 inches off the ground.
The seat goes as high as 41” off the ground/ 36.5” seat to pedal and 30.5” seat to center of bottom bracket/crank bolt and goes as low as 33.5” from the ground/ 29.5” seat to pedal/ 23” seat to center of bottom bracket/crank bolt.
Handlebar goes as high as 40” from the ground and as low as 34 inches.
I began working in bike shops in 1984, which adds up to A LOT of experience working on bikes. I drew on that experience to strip this baby down to the bare frame and rebuild her with a mixture of new and old parts.
This Pursuit has a 3 by 7 21-speed Shimano drivetrain with brand new indexed click shifters.
“Fully overhauled and reconditioned” includes-
Wheel bearings removed, cleaned and greased.
Steerer/headset bearings removed, cleaned and greased.
Crank/bottom bracket bearings replaced.
The aluminum wheels have been tensioned and trued and the front wheel is quick release.
Brand new Trek R1 road tires.
Brand new freewheel/rear gears.
Brand new chain.
Brand new tubes.
Brand new grips.
Brand new brake cables with brand new outer housing.
Brand new brake pads.
Brand new shift levers with brand new cables.
