I became a cycling enthusiast back in 1980 when I started bike commuting to college and I started working in bike shops in 1984 where I've worked as a bike mechanic either part or full time every year from 1985 through 2024 which adds up to A LOT of experience working on bikes.
The High Timber features a sturdy steel frame, a tall stem, and a handlebar with enough rise to allow you to sit UPRIGHT in comfort. She also has a brand new padded, comfy saddle.
What else is new? How about a brand new rear shift lever/brake lever, brand new grips, brand new shifter cables, and a brand new front brake cable.
Freshly and fully tuned including adjusting headset/steerer and bottom bracket/crank bearings and overhauling the hubs on both wheels.
Speaking of wheels? Of course they've been trued.
How about the tires? You guessed it, BRAND NEW big, fat 2.125" wide tires with brand new inner tubes.
Aluminum rim wheels are strong, make climbing easier due to reduced rotating weight, don't rust and allow for far better braking in the rain than do steel rims.
Seat goes as a low as and all the way up to all the way up to 33 inches from the ground/28.5" seat to pedal when pedal is at 6:00 o'clock and 22" center of crank to top.
How high you ask? Seat goes all the way up to all the way up to 39.5 inches from the ground/35" seat to pedal when pedal is at 6:00 o'clock and 29" center of crank to top
The handlebars reach as high as 41".
This bike is a best fit for riders between 5'5" and five feet eleven in height.
