Selling my 2000 Corvette Convertible. This has been adult owned and driven lightly. Selling due to limited use over the past years. Mechanically it’s like new with limited miles since a complete engine and performance overhaul. This car is a driver, not a show car, and shows normal wear and tear consistent with the mileage. Priced aggressively to move and price is very firm. Upgrades alone amount to well over what I'm asking.
With the rebuilt, upgraded engine (including cam), and the exhaust, it certainly has a rumble. Quiet on highway drives, but you’ll hear it if you press into the throttle.
Please be serious and provide proof of funds (cash) should you be interested in moving forward. Location is in North Durham County.
• 2000 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible (6 speed manual) – 94,111 miles
• Motor professionally rebuilt at Mayhem Motorsports in Raleigh (2015) with less than 2000 miles on it (400 dyno hp at rear wheels) – build sheet receipt available
• New tie rods installed at same time as motor
• Texas speed headers installed at same time as motor
• Stereo/Console upgrade (sub, amps, and component speakers)
• Corsa Extreme exhaust (with cats and X pipe)
• Intake (blackwing)
• Rims (less than 100 miles)
• Tires (less than 100 miles)
• New LS7 Clutch
• Corbeau Racing seats with driver’s side heated
• Hood weather seal at front bumper
• Slotted and drilled rotors
• To the best of my knowledge everything else works as it should. Driven less than 200 miles most years.
Also comes with:
• Original seats (rough condition)
• Original chrome rims w/ TPMS sensors
• Rear hatch cover (subwoofer spot)
Known issues:
• All 4 TPMS sensors were changed with new rims and tires, must have got the wrong ones or issues with programming. 2000 was a split year.
• Reverse often requires going into another gear first (very common in C5 vettes)
• Not an issue, but this is a driver not a show car, some paint scratches especially on side mirrors. There is a small chunk out of the hood near the windshield, but it’s hard to see
• Keyless entry didn’t work today (may just be battery)
• Small piece of stitching on passenger side convertible top is fraying
