For sale is my 2007 Shelby GT, a clean and tastefully upgraded example of one of the most iconic modern Mustangs. This car has been adult enthusiast-owned and professionally modified, including Detroit Rocker camshafts, long-tube headers, drivetrain upgrades, and a long list of Shelby GT appearance enhancements.
I’ve never had any mechanical issues with it—no leaks, no warning lights, always starts, and the A/C blows cold. It is a 5-speed manual with a 4.10 rear end. Recent oil change and inspection.
I am essentially the forth owner, although it technically passed through Hendrick Motorsports before a small dealer in Statesville purchased it for personal use but decided to sell. I tracked down the second owner in Texas, who performed most of the major upgrades. He was incredibly helpful and provided a thumb drive full of images and videos from his ownership.
During my ownership, I did the dreaded spark-plug change (research it if you aren’t familiar). I also replaced the fuel filter, transmission oil, swapped back to original rims, and purchased a proper spare tire. I replaced the aggressive mufflers with standard GT mufflers (a little quieter), but the originals are included. I installed a modern radio, upgraded mirrors, and improved tail lights—subtle upgrades that make the car feel more OEM+. Last year, I ordered the complete stripe kit from Shelby (not cheap) and began replacing the faded, water-marked original stripes. After finishing the top and trunk areas, I paused because painted stripes may be the better long-term option. I still have the unused side stripes and hood stripe.
The car has never given me any issues and has always been reliable. Please—no tire kickers, lowball offers, or joy rides. I do not have to sell. The car runs strong, sounds incredible, and is an absolute blast to drive. Clean title in hand.
This is an inexpensive way to get into the Shelby community. Here’s a great article explaining why these cars are becoming more desirable:
