Souvenir Photograph is seeking experienced professional action sports photographers for contract work at endurance events nationwide. We specialize in capturing participant action photos at races, marathons, triathlons, obstacle courses, and similar high-energy events, delivering fast-turnaround souvenirs to athletes.
This is strictly contract / gig-based work — photographers are hired per event as independent contractors. No benefits, no ongoing employment, no W-2 positions.
Job Details:
Shoot high-volume action photography during endurance events (typical day: 3,000–7,000 images).
Upload all raw photos the same day as the event (no editing or post-processing required — we handle that).
Events occur across the U.S., so travel flexibility is ideal (some travel expenses may be reimbursed depending on the assignment).
Work outdoors in varying weather, often long hours on your feet.
Requirements:
Professional camera gear, including at least one lens ≥200mm (telephoto strongly preferred for capturing distant/fast action).
Extra batteries, memory cards, and backup equipment to handle full-day shooting without failure.
Demonstrated experience shooting endurance events (e.g., marathons, ultras, cycling races, adventure races).
Reliable transportation and ability to arrive on-site early and stay until upload is complete.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to meet same-day upload deadlines independently.
