I have ONE Mid Century Chairs by Thonet.
Thonet is an Austrian Based Furniture maker that started in the 1880s.
They are in business to this day and specialize in durable bentwood furniture.
Thonet had a furniture manufacturing plant in Statesville, NC for much of the 20th Century.
I have never seen this design before, but what really sets these chairs apart is that they are constructed of SOLID TEAK.
The chair has GORGEOUS woodgrain and are a show stopper with just that.
The chair also has a great sea foam green cushion.
The chair was cleaned and refinished in May 2023!!
The chair is in great aesthetic and structural condition.
One cushion does have a small dab of white paint on it, but we aired on the side of caution and did not abrasively remove it. Otherwise they are near MINT condition.
