I have a GORGEOUS, all wood coffee table by Lycoming.
Lycoming was a furniture manufacturer based in Lycoming County in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and was active in the 20th century, ESPECIALLY in the 1950s and 60s.
I am primarily familiar with the Lycoming desks. This coffee table is a miniature version of these desks and was very unique-to me and the brand-I had to have it!
Primary wood of the coffee table is mahogany, secondary wood is poplar, tertiary wood is oak.
The piece was refinished in the past 2 decades or less, and different hardware was installed undeneath, which is not original.
The reeded legs are solid mahogany, the top has a beautiful mahogany field with an addtional perimeter trim also in mahogany, which is very beautiful to look at.
The top is also bevelled around the perimeter with clipped corners--There is tremendous attention to detail with this coffee table.
The feet have solid brass caps, feet were also added.
Dimensions of the coffee tble are:
5 feet long
30 inches deep
16.5 inches tall
*Distance from the floor to the skirt is 14.5 inches
Priced to go at $325!!!
This is CERTAINLY the pretiest coffee table I have seen on Craigslist! I hope you are lucky enough to get it! ;-)
