I have a great PAIR of Authentic Knoll Womb Chairs.
The Womb Chairs were designed by famous designer Eero Saarinen.
"The chair debuted in 1948 as the 'Model 70', and Eero Saarinen filed a patent for his 'shaped chair' It's shaped for and liberating comfort earned it the name Womb Chair." ---Knoll Website
The chair was designed to be a "Basket full of Pillows" which could be used to lay yourself in a variety of positions, thus the name which developed, the "Womb Chair" Like a child in a mother's womb who can be in all kinds of position while "in utero."
The chair has a reinforced fiberglass frame, which facilitate the artistic curves, with the Eero Saarinen "tubular steel leg frame" These are done in a black powder coat.
These chairs are in a Rust Red Fabric
There are two sizes of these chairs, the "Standard" and "Medium" These are the Medium chairs.
I also have two "Standard" Womb chairs in a red Vinyl or leather (I am unsure of the upholstery type)
The final pictures of the ad shows the two sizes together to give you a concept of the size differential.
