Cookie is a 15hh 15yo appaloosa mare. She is gentle, safe, and sound. I have owned her for over 3 years and used her regularly in my lesson program and for beginner trail rides. She has taught many kids and adults how to ride. She rides great in the round pen, arena, and on the trail. She has been on many trips off our farm for parades, horse shows, trail rides, and other events. On the trail she will lead or follow, cross anything you ask her to, and go wherever you point her. She’s not spooky at all. She’ll lead or follow. She’s surefooted, and she’ll take care of her rider without them having to guide her hardly at all. In the arena she will jump, do barrels & poles, and any other pattern you want her to. She moves off your leg, neck reins, backs easily, picks up both leads, stops on woah, and has 3 smooth gaits. She is good for the farrier, very easy to load, very easy to catch, stands quiet to be saddled, bridled, mounted, and bathed. She has good ground manners and is respectful of your space. She does well turned out with other horses, but you can stall her too. She is a sweet horse and is not “mareish” at all. She has a current coggins, deworming, and her teeth were floated recently. She is sound and healthy with no maintenance. If you’re looking for a horse that is safe and reliable that you can have fun doing just about anything on then Cookie is your girl.
