Position Overview
We are seeking a confident and adaptable Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join a busy outpatient walk-in clinic in Rocky Mount, NC. This role is ideal for providers who enjoy a fast-paced environment, clinical autonomy, and treating a broad range of acute illnesses and minor injuries.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and minor injuries.
Perform comprehensive physical exams and patient assessments.
Order, interpret, and review laboratory tests, imaging, and diagnostic studies.
Prescribe medications and develop appropriate treatment plans.
Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, preventive care, and follow-up recommendations.
Perform minor office procedures as appropriate.
Accurately document patient encounters within the EMR system.
Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to maintain efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
Qualifications
Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in good standing.
Prior urgent care, walk-in clinic, emergency medicine, family medicine, or primary care experience preferred.
Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently in a high-volume outpatient setting.
Excellent communication and patient care skills.
