Work/Rent Barter (Durham)

My name is Claire and my fiance and I moved to Durham this past fall and are looking to find more permanent housing for the next 2.5 years. He is in graduate school at Duke and I am an early childhood educator/nanny. We have a very sweet, well behaved, 7 year old English Labrador. We will both be out of the area for June and July so ideally we would move in somewhere new anytime between now and May, or start a lease in August. We are looking for our own space and our budget is $1000-1400 but willing to discuss for the right place! We are also open to a work/rent barter with onsite living accomodations. I have decades of experience nannying, teaching, petsitting/farmsitting, senior care, or open to another live in position. Last year we lived and worked out on a farm in the mountains near Asheville!
