Limited Edition Signed and Numbered (146/200) Lithograph by David Stein (Egypt 1935 - France 1999) in the style of Henri Matisse. Infamous art forger David Stein was implicated multiple times for selling faked works of art by renowned artists. In his later years, in order to avoid further lawsuits, he began titling his pieces "In the Manner of..." so that it was clear he was merely emulating the style of the artist, not forging it. He did, however, continue to make forgeries in secret for the rest of his life. Framed to 26.5 x 34.25 inches. $250
