William Peace University is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support and maintain campus facilities across multiple skilled trades.
What You’ll Do:
Perform preventative maintenance and journeyman‑level repairs
Respond to and complete work orders independently using an online system
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall, painting, and carpentry issues
Install, maintain, and repair fixtures, motors, pumps, and building components
Assist with groundskeeping and basic vehicle, golf cart, and equipment maintenance
Collaborate with supervisors, vendors, and contractors on complex projects
Use hand and power tools to complete daily tasks
Serve in an essential on‑campus role, including during adverse weather or emergencies
Participate in emergency call‑backs, evenings, or weekends as needed
Qualifications (Summary):
High school diploma or GED plus 2+ years of maintenance or trade experience
Working knowledge of multiple trades in commercial or residential settings
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work at heights, tight spaces, and outdoors
Valid NC driver’s license (or ability to obtain)
HVAC certification and NC electrical license preferred
