This is a closeout deal on a discontinued line of first quality engineered white oak. When it's gone, it's gone -- and at $2.59 a square foot for 7.5" wide plank white oak, it will not sit long.
The color is Winston -- a deep, rich espresso brown with warm red undertones. It reads dark and formal without going black, which makes it one of those finishes that works in a bedroom, a dining room, or a main living area and looks expensive against almost any wall color. Light walls especially -- white, cream, or warm gray -- pop against this finish in a way that makes a room feel finished and intentional.
The wirebrushed surface texture is the right call for a dark floor. It breaks up the sheen, adds subtle grain definition, and keeps the finish from reading flat or plastic. The micro bevel edge gives each board a clean separation that holds up visually even in large open rooms.
The specs are solid: 7/16" thick construction, low gloss, and it can be glued, stapled, or floated depending on your subfloor situation. That kind of installation flexibility on a wide plank is not a given -- a lot of wide plank products are glue-down only.
Retail on comparable 7.5" engineered white oak in a stained finish typically runs $7 to $11 per square foot. This is $2.59.
There are just under 4,000 square feet available. Enough to do a full floor in a mid-size home, but not enough to last. If you are remodeling a bedroom, a master suite, a dining room, or a smaller open-plan space, this is the quantity you need at a price that is hard to argue with.
