Position Summary
The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble mechanical parts, components, and equipment following blueprints, schematics, and work instructions
Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, torque wrenches) to complete assemblies
Perform basic fitting, alignment, and adjustment of parts to ensure proper function
Inspect finished assemblies for accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications
Identify and report defective parts, materials, or assembly issues
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company safety policies
Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to resolve assembly or production issues
Follow all company procedures, quality standards, and production schedules
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
1–3 years of experience in mechanical assembly or a related manufacturing role
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
Basic understanding of mechanical systems and assembly processes
Ability to lift moderate weights and stand for extended periods
