Gretsch Custom Shop Masterbuilt Stephen Stern Falcon Black Sparkle - $9,800 (Cary)

This is a one-off Stephen Stern Masterbuilt Falcon finished in Black Metallic Sparkle and spec’d with TV Jones Ray Butts Ful-Fidelity Filter’Trons. An incredibly striking and unique Custom Shop build.
The guitar was previously listed and sold, however the sale was canceled after a finish imprint/reaction was noticed on the back of the headstock caused by contact with a Couch guitar strap while stored in the case. The mark is shown clearly in the photos and is only noticeable in certain lighting conditions.
I have not attempted any buffing or repair work and preferred to leave it completely original for the next owner. There are also a few additional light marks around the headstock area shown in the photos.
Outside of the noted finish reaction, the guitar remains in excellent overall condition and includes the original Custom Shop case, COA, and case candy.
I’m still somewhat on the fence about selling this one, but decided to make it available again for anyone looking for a truly unique Stern-era Falcon.
