2022 Taylor 816ce Builder's Edition with hardshell case. Played a hand full of times. Simply put, this is top tier of Acoustic-Electric guitars. I don't play publicly, so it's more guitar than I need. I'm downsizing to an acoustic only guitar. The sound is EPIC, the playability is absolutely phenomenal, it looks beautiful, and is in mint condition. Kept in it's case while I've owned it. Bought brand new in 2024.
Description taken from Taylor - "The Taylor 816ce Builder's Edition is a high-end acoustic-electric guitar that offers a unique, immersive "surround-sound" playing experience thanks to innovative design features like its soundport cutaway and V-Class bracing.
Key Features & Innovations
Soundport Cutaway: A distinctive partial Florentine cutaway on the treble side includes a secondary soundhole (soundport) which disperses sound in a wide, immersive way for the player, creating an almost symphonic sonic experience without sacrificing the back's structural integrity or high-fret access.
V-Class Bracing: This revolutionary internal architecture boosts volume, extends sustain, and improves the intonation across the entire fretboard, ensuring notes are purer and more in tune with each other than with traditional X-bracing.
Premium Tonewoods: The guitar pairs a solid Lutz spruce top (known for broad dynamic range and crisp articulation) with solid Indian rosewood back and sides (offering rich lows and sparkling highs) to create a versatile and powerful voice.
Enhanced Playability: Designed for comfort, it features chamfered body and fretboard edges, a smooth Silent Satin finish that reduces playing noise, a comfortable 24-7/8" scale length, and light-gauge strings, making it easier to fret and play.
Cutting-Edge Electronics: Equipped with Taylor's patented Expression System 2 (ES2) electronics, featuring three uniquely positioned behind-the-saddle sensors, it provides a clear, accurate, and responsive amplified sound for live performance or recording"
