A great playing and great sounding Les Paul. I spent a few years looking for the perfect humbuckers to go into it and stopped looking when I got the Mojotone '59 Clone PAFs that are in there now. Just phenomenal sounding pickups. It has been refretted by Mark Kane in Cary. If you are familiar with his work then you know that the neck is now perfect.
When I bought this in 2011 it was sold as an EG500 from the 80s. I'm not an expert on Greco models and given the lack of any serial # or model designators, I can only take that E-Bay seller's word for it. The important attribute for me was that it had a plain top, as I just don't go for all of the flame and quilt nonsense myself.
The original pickups were garbage and the frets were shot. Now it sounds amazing and plays perfectly. There is some obvious finish wear, but nothing out of line for a 40+ year old guitar. It's aged better than I have.
Includes a nice SKB hard case, not pictured. This is an upgrade from the vinyl bag it came with.
