This guitar has a lot of maple, so it is very bright. One cool thing about it is that the finish has rubbed off a little bit under the cowboy chords, which I think just looks cool - check out the neck near the nut.
This guitar has a pickup installed. The 699 features a dreadnought body with a fine-grained spruce top on selected maple back and sides. The round soundhole is trimmed with black-and-white marquetry rosette and a black pickguard. The maple neck has a 21-fret rock maple fingerboard, black dot position markers with black side dots and a matching headstock. Another cool thing about this guitar is that it has an adjustable-height rosewood bridge - as well as the famous Ibanez gold-plated star tuners.
