Selling my 1977 Ibanez Model 2453 Howard Roberts hollowbody with case. Nothing better than sitting quietly in a room and letting the sound of a great hollowbody like this slowly fill up the room with sound as your ears hear it louder and louder.
Features an arched curly maple top with an oval soundhole and 22-fret rosewood fingerboard . . . the rosewood bridge is height-adjustable with a T-bar trapeze tailpiece; a bone nut; a tortoise pickguard (wrapped up on top of the case in 1st pic) . . . speed gold knobs adjust volume, mid range, and treble roll-off.
There is some green corrosion on the right side of the pickup, which I think is a super 70's humbucker. Has those coveted Ibanez star tuners and my favorite vintage Ibanez color (Cherry Wood)
Low action . . . plays well and really resonates out into the room. I think it's in great, great shape for a 49 year old hollowbody - no binding rot or buckle rash.
I'm only selling to reduce gear, so I can't do trades. Believe me, I love this guitar - I am keeping my other one forever.
