If you haven't had the pleasure to play a fishman fluence active pickup it is unlike any other active pickup on the market as it has tons of Dynamics and harmonics that most active pickups cannot replicate. I never liked actives after playing emgs and sd's but I got a guitar that had this exact model pickup in it and it was a swamp ash body guitar and that ff pickup sounded amazingly good to my ears and actually found the voices you can select from are all really diverse and hard to believe they all came from the same pickup.
It's the best of both worlds because with this pickup it has an active voice and a passive voice selected by the three-way switch.
I purchased this new, with the intention to install it in a project I was building but it wouldn't fit in my project without performing some routing work which I wasn't going to do to this guitars beautiful finish.
So I had to order a passive mount pickup for that guitar so now I'm left with this awesome sounding FF 7 string bridge pickup with all the pots, jack,3 way switch,wiring,and everything needed to bring greatness to someones guitar that's been needing a new modern tone that can sound like a active or passive pickup.
I bought the whole install kit
Along with the pickup new for around $180+ shipping and it's basically the same brand new pickup for half the price I paid or you would if you bought one new yourself.
