Essential Functions
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Prepare and submit timely, accurate, detailed, and well-organized proposals with correct scope, pricing breakdowns, and terms and conditions.
Job Description
• Identify bidding opportunities through PlanHub by reviewing and analyzing structural construction drawings.
• Perform material take-offs by identifying and quantifying all required concrete scope items, including concrete, rebar, general materials, and labor.
• Estimate scope items such as foundations, slab-on-grade, pads, walls, and site concrete.
• Prepare and submit timely, accurate, detailed, and well-organized proposals with correct scope, pricing breakdowns, and terms and conditions.
• Maintain organized estimating files and documentation.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and suppliers.
Qualifications
• Most important: Must be a dependable team player with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to showing up on time and being fully engaged.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Prepare and submit timely, accurate, detailed, and well-organized proposals with correct scope, pricing breakdowns, and terms and conditions.
• Must be seeking long-term employment and willing to play a key role in a growing a $10+ million family-run company.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Civil Engineering or similar education preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management is a plus.
