This made in the USA version was private labeled for Craftsman and features a screw down lever cap. I really like this type because it securely holds its blade setting even when bumped. The #220 is the blue collar work-horse of the Stanley block plane line. It's a no frills, rugged performer that you grab to knock down corners, trim moldings or brings parts into alignment. It has an 1 5/8" wide blade that is bedded at 20 degrees with the bevel up. This version, features an updated blade carriage to advance the blade. I have completely tuned it, so that you can use it immediately without further work. I have flattened the sole (within reason), fitted the lever cap tight against the blade and honed the blade to 8000x on water stones. It is razor sharp. If you are new to planes and want something easy to grow with, this may be the perfect tool to cut your teeth on. Don't forget to click on the "more ads by this user" link. Happy to ship.
