Gatsby Glass of The Triangle Raleigh, NC Full-Time $23–$27/hr (Based on Experience)
About Us
Gatsby Glass of The Triangle is a premier glass solutions franchise serving residential and commercial customers across the Raleigh area. We specialize in custom shower doors and enclosures, railings, mirrors, countertops, and more — and we take pride in doing it right, every time. We’re a tight-knit team that values craftsmanship, professionalism, and delivering an exceptional customer experience from first visit to final install.
The Role
We’re looking for a seasoned glazing professional to step into a critical dual role on our team: in-home estimating and quality control. This isn’t a pure sales position or a pure install position — it’s for someone who has deep enough glazing knowledge to do both with confidence.
You’ll be the face of Gatsby Glass in customers’ homes during the estimation process, and you’ll be the last set of expert eyes before any project moves to installation.
Primary Responsibilities
Estimation (In-Home Consultations)
Visit residential and commercial job sites to measure spaces and assess project scope
Guide customers through product options, design possibilities, and practical recommendations — helping translate their vision into a buildable solution
Produce accurate measurements and documentation to generate precise glass and hardware orders
Represent Gatsby Glass professionally in the home: clean, knowledgeable, and consultative
Maintain communication with customers, the install team, and the office throughout the project lifecycle
Quality Control
Receive and thoroughly inspect incoming glass and hardware orders — verifying dimensions, specifications, finishes, and quantities down to the smallest detail
Cross-reference delivered materials against work orders before any install is scheduled
Flag discrepancies early to avoid costly delays or rework
Maintain QC documentation and communicate findings clearly to the team
Secondary Responsibilities
Assist the install team in the field when needed — your hands-on installation experience is an asset and keeps your estimating and QC skills sharp
Mentor and support junior glaziers on proper installation techniques
Coordinate with warehouse team on inventory and truck stock
Complete and submit all task-related documentation in a timely manner
You’re a Great Fit If You...
Have 5+ years of glazing/glass installation experience and genuinely know the craft
Are comfortable in customers’ homes — professional presentation, strong communication, and the ability to explain technical concepts in plain language
Have a meticulous eye for detail and take quality seriously
Can read and interpret drawings, specs, and work orders with confidence
Are organized, self-directed, and thrive without someone looking over your shoulder
Hold a valid driver’s license and can pass a pre-employment screening

Minimum 5 years of glazing/glass installation experience
Working knowledge of glass installation equipment and all grades of glass
Ability to read and work from drawings and specifications
Strong math skills (fractions, measurements, spatial reasoning)

Positive attitude, team player, and willingness to keep learning
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in estimation, outside sales, or customer-facing consultation
