We’re seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Cable & Fiber Installation Technicians. This is a 1099 independent contractor position that includes ride-alongs and mentorship with experienced technicians during an initial 1-2 week ramp-up period.
No prior experience is required. We’re looking for dependable, technically inclined individuals who want to break into a skilled trade with strong earning potential. If you come from construction, electrical, HVAC, satellite, mechanics, plumbing, or another hands-on field, this could be a great fit.
Technical Responsibilities:
Install and troubleshoot cable/fiber internet, phone, and television services
Run, secure, and test coaxial and fiber lines
Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and testing equipment
Complete work orders and job documentation accurately
Meet quality, safety, and performance standards
Customer Service Experience:
Greet customers professionally in their homes or businesses
Confirm requested services and explain completed work
Address questions or concerns respectfully
Provide basic product and service education
No sales and no upselling required
What We’re Looking For:
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn a technical trade
Mechanical aptitude and comfort using tools
Ability to work independently after the ramp-up period
Professional communication and customer service skills
Requirements:
Must be 18 years or older
Reliable vehicle capable of carrying a 28’ ladder
Valid driver’s license
Ability to pass a background check and drug test
Willingness to work weekends as needed
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
Comfortable working on ladders up to 28 feet
Comfortable working in tight spaces, including crawl spaces
Pay & Incentives:
Weekly earning potential: $1,400 – $2,500 once fully ramped
Sign-on bonus: $500–$2,000 (based on experience in the industry)
Performance-based pay per completed job
Referral bonus potential
